Fireworks, Uncle Bob’s Rock Shop part of local Fourth of July fun   

The Villages does not have a fireworks show in honor of Independence Day, however, there will be opportunities in the area to get your Fourth of July Fireworks fix. Here are a few:

Tavares: A Civil War re-enactment, music, food trucks, activities and a fireworks display. 3 p.m. Saturday, Tavares Pavilion on the Lake, 100 East Ruby St., Tavares, free.

Mount Dora: Live music, activities and fireworks. 5 p.m. Friday, Elizabeth Evans Park, 100 S. Donnelly St., Mount Dora, free, mountdorafireworks.com.

Eustis: kids’ zone, live music and fireworks. noon Saturday, Ferran Park, Bay Street, Eustis, free,  483-1175.

Leesburg: includes live performance by Uncle Bob’s Rock Shop, a boat tailgate party, fireworks at 9 p.m., a kids’ play zone and swimming pool. 6 p.m. Saturday, Venetian Gardens, 201 E. Dixie Ave., Leesburg, free, 352-728-9704, leesburgpartnership.com.
