Garrett Miles didn’t make it on the Wednesday night premiere of “American Idol” and now he has one chance left: Thursday night at 8 on the Fox Network.
Miles, 26, auditioned in Nashville and earned high praise from the judging panel of Keith Urban, Jennifer Lopez and Harry Connick Jr. He sang “Proud Mary” by Creedence Clearwater Revival. Miles also joined in a brief duet with Jennifer Lopez on the song, “Como la Flor.”
But his audition wasn’t shown during the first part of the two-part kickoff to Idol’s 14th season on Wednesday night.
“Well guys it wasn’t tonight, but there is still a chance tomorrow,” states Miles’ Facebook page. “Be sure to tune in tomorrow night to see if they show him! Thank you all so much for all of the support! It has been amazing to see all the people standing behind Garrett!”
Twenty-four finalists will be selected. Miles, who is hugely popular in The Villages and frequently performs here, hopes to be one of them.
