Robert Matthias, Sr. 69, The Villages, FL died Friday, August 9, 2013. Bob served in the US Army stationed in Berlin, Germany, as a MP after graduating high school 1963. He worked for Thatcher Engineering for 37 years before retiring in 2004 and relocating to The Villages. He enjoyed Bingo, golf, card country music and golf carting around his “Paradise Found”
Bob is survived by his wife, Barb; Children, Paula, FL, Rob Stephanie, and Brett, Il; 8 grandchildren, Brother, Ron, Il, Robin, WI, and sister Christine, IN.
Visitation will be held from 1-2:00 PM Sunday September 1, 2013 at Open Bible Lutheran Church, Oxford, FL with a memorial service to follow at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Open Bible Lutheran Church, 4671 Bellwether Lane, Oxford, FL 34484 or the American Cancer Society.
