Those who need help getting their financial situation under control are invited to take part in a multi-part course at Heritage Community Church in Fruitland Park.
Financial Peace University will begin Sunday, Jan. 12 at the church, located at 509 W Berckman St., and run for nine weeks. Classes will be held from 5-7 p.m.
Financial Peace University was created by money management expert Dave Ramsey. It takes Biblical principles and turns them into real action through a step-by-step process taught by the best-selling author and financial counselor. The classes will be taught in a large group setting but also will include small group interaction and discussions for accountability and encouragement.
Financial Peace University is designed to empower and teach participants “how to make the right money decisions to achieve financial goals and God’s plan for your life.” The course includes practical lessons on eliminating debt, building wealth, giving and much more.
More than one million families and individuals have completed Financial Peace University and on average, graduates have paid off more than $5,300 in debt and saved $2,700 during the first 91 days after beginning the course. Many also are completely out of debt, except for their mortgage, in 18 to 24 months.
The cost to attend Financial Peace University is $100, which includes both necessary books and online resources. It will be taught by investment adviser Mark Dushane and a team of other graduates. To register or for more information, visit www.heritagecommunity.org or email [email protected].
