A woman with cocaine hidden in a toaster was arrested in the Village of Bonnybrook.
Sumter County sheriff’s deputies were called at 11:13 p.m. Tuesday for a well-being check at 675 Kendall Court in the Broyhill Villas and upon arrival found in the driveway a black 2012 Hyundai. The vehicle was running and smelled of burnt marijuana. The driver was identified as 28-year-old Frederick Michael Prestler and he was arrested on a charge of possession of marijuana after a marijuana cigarette was found in the passenger door compartment.
Inside the home, a deputy found 43-year-old Holly Marie Keightley. The deputy could smell marijuana in the home and asked Keightley if Prestler had “dropped off” anything for her.
“(She) looked at me and asked if she was going to be in any trouble,” the deputy wrote in the arrest report.
Keightley “proceeded into the kitchen and pulled out a small baggie containing a white powder from the toaster.” It turned out to be cocaine.
She was arrested on charge of possession of cocaine and booked at the Sumter County Detention Center.
Bond was set at $1,500.
