A woman with marijuana was arrested after failing to properly stop when leaving a busy service station at U.S. 301 and County Road 472.
Shawanda Selina Woodson, 23, of Summerfield, was at the wheel of a silver 2007 Hyundai in the early morning hours Wednesday when she failed to come to a stop when pulling out of the service station’s parking lot, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department.
During a traffic stop, a police officer detected the aroma of marijuana and Woodson admitted she had been smoking it. A marijuana cigarette was found in the car’s ashtray. During the search of the vehicle, Woodson became “unruly.”
She was arrested on a charge of possession of marijuana and ticketed on a charge of failure to stop when exiting a private driveway. She was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center on $1,000 bond.
