To the Editor:
November of 2018 an 84-year-old gentleman pulled out in front of me running a stop light. I was approximately 25 feet from him. In order not to broad side him I swerved to the left and my golf cart rolled and slid down the road. Had it not been for me wearing my seatbelt I would not be here today writing this. There was a police officer sitting at the red light and saw the whole accident. He asked the driver why he pulled out and his response was “I thought he was turning.” The officer asked if I had my directional lights on, his response was, “No, but nobody uses their directional lights!”
The individual that pulled out in front of me was not a snowbird either.
