Olive E. Watson, age 107, of Wildwood, FL, passed away October 5, 2018. Olive was born to Arthur C. and Rachel (England) Brown on August 20, 1911 in Marion, Ohio and moved to Florida in 1928.
Olive married her husband John Allen Watson on January 4, 1933.
Olive was a homemaker and a longtime member of the United Methodist Church of Wildwood since 1933. Olive was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a National Delegate for the Women’s Society in the Methodist Church traveling all over the United States and to many countries including Africa.
Olive is survived by her son George and Glenna Watson of Wildwood, grandson George Jr. and Shelly Watson of Wildwood, granddaughter Elaina and John White of Witheville, VA, three great-grand children Josh Watson, Zachery White, Audra White and niece Pat Sirmons Antcliff of Lake Panasoffkee. Olive is preceded in death by her parents, husband of 67 years John Allen “Peewee”, sister Delphina Brown-Balwin, sister Thelma Brown-Sirmons.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 7, from 2 – 3 p.m. at the Wildwood United Methodist Church with Funeral Service following at 3 p.m. with burial flowing at Greenwood Cemetery in Wildwood.
