Villager arrested in theft of golf clubs from Golf Academy at Palmer Country Club

Ted Spenser Sprinkmann

A Villager has been arrested in the theft of golf clubs from the Golf Academy at Palmer Legends Country Club.

Ted Spenser Sprinkman, 65, of the Village of Orange Blossom Gardens, was arrested at 2:14 p.m. Wednesday at the country club. The previous day, he had been captured on video surveillance removing a set of eight Callaway Steelhead XR golf clubs from the academy, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.

The academy staffer who had spoken to Sprinkman on the day of the alleged theft said Sprinkman often frequents the academy.

He was arrested on a charge of theft and booked at the Sumter County Detention Center. He was released after posting $500 bond.
