Golf cart driver injured in crash with automobile near Havana Country Club

A golf cart driver was transported by ambulance to The Villages Regional Hospital after a collision with an automobile Thursday afternoon near Havana Country Club.

The crash occurred at about 4:30 p.m. when the driver of the automobile turned in front of the golf cart at the intersection of Odell Circle and Aberdeen Run in the Village of Hemingway, according to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.

The driver of this golf cart was transported to The Villages Regional Hospital.

The driver of the automobile was ticketed on a charge of making an improper turn.

The golf cart driver suffered minor injuries.

The golf cart collided with the side of this car.
