Several tunnels remain closed as post-Irma bailing out continues in The Villages

While residents continue recovering from Hurricane Irma, the devastating effects of the storm can still be seen all around the community.

Sinkholes have opened, ponds have been turned into lakes, and golf courses have been closed until further notice due to the flooding caused by the hurricane.

The following multi-modal tunnels are currently closed due to Hurricane Irma.
• Tunnel M9 – located under Morse Boulevard near Odell Circle at the Havana Country Club
• Tunnel B7 – located under Buena Vista Boulevard at the Saddlebrook Recreation Center (this tunnel was closed for repairs prior to Hurricane Irma)
• Tunnel B17 – located under Buena Vista Boulevard near Bailey Trail at the Lake Miona Recreation Center
• Tunnel B22 – located under Buena Vista Boulevard at Pinellas Place
• Tunnel B23 – located under Buena Vista Boulevard just north of Evans Prairie Country Club
• Tunnel B25 – located under County Road 44A near the Eisenhower Recreation Center
• Tunnel B30 – located under County Road 103
• Bridge located across US Hwy 441 – the bridge located over US Hwy 441 from Spanish Springs to Orange Blossom Gardens and Silver Lake
