80-year-old motorcyclist killed in collision in Hernando County

An 80-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a collision Saturday morning in Hernando County.

Alfred Boutin Jr. of Brooksville had been riding a 2002 Honda motorcycle at 9:08 a.m. when he collided with a 2017 Ford F-150 driven by 28-year-old Michael King of Spring Hill which had made a left turn into the path of the motorcycle, according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol. King had been turning into a Dunkin Donuts, the report indicated.

Boutin was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. He had been wearing a helmet.

Charges are pending.
