52-year-old Wildwood man arrested on domestic battery charge following altercation

A 52-year-old Wildwood man was arrested on a domestic battery charge following an altercation Wednesday evening.

Jorge Anthony Furones had gotten into an argument with another man at a residence on County Road 134B, according to an arrest report from the Sumer County Sheriff’s Office.

A woman stepped in between them in an attempt to de-escalate the situation.

Furones later shoved and pushed the other man.

He was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center. He was released after posting $500 bond.
