Fifty cartons of cigarettes were stolen in a smash-and-grab burglary at a local gas station.
The robbery took place sometime this past Sunday night or early Monday more at the Chevron station at 201 U.S. Hwy. 27/441 in Lady Lake.
Entry to the business was gained through the glass front door, according to an incident report from the Lady Lake Police Department. The door sustained about $1,000 in damage.
Thirty cartons of 305 cigarettes and 20 cartons of Newport cigarettes were stolen.
