48-year-old man killed early New Year’s Day in pickup truck crash in Lake County

A 48-year-old Clermont man was killed early New Year’s Day when his pickup truck crashed in Lake County.

Calvin Hall had been at the wheel of a 2004 Chevy pickup at 12:15 a.m. Monday traveling southbound on County Road 561 and negotiating a curve when his truck left the roadway, collided with a fence post and overturned, according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol. The roof of the pickup struck a tree.

He was pronounced dead by the Medical Examiner

The crash remains under investigation.
