To the Editor:
I have been told that the main roads in The Villages are county maintained and regulated. Legally they are county owned and the gate keepers do not have true authority to refuse entry to visitors. If this is accurate, then the “gated” appearance is just for show. I am inclined to believe this is true. This is certainly not a real gated community from my perspective.
