Cars with touch-screen controls as dangerous as texting and driving

To the Editor:

A lot of new cars are equipped with touch screens to control many aspects of operating the functions of the car, radio, air conditioning, etc.
It’s my opinion if you have to take your eyes off the road to operate your car, there is NO difference from opening the touch screens and texting while driving.
Bring back controls that have some kind of tactile feedback.
