The Villages brought this mess upon themselves

To the Editor:

The Villages brought this mess upon themselves when they abdicated responsibility for deed violations and put it upon the residents. People are afraid to report violations for fear of reprisals. Add staff to Community Standards and reduce staff of Village Watch, or have Community Watch trained and let them report violations. The way it is now is subjective. A violation is a violation regardless of who or how it is reported.
