Barbara Jane Duffy, age 80, passed away peacefully at her home in The Villages, FL on Saturday August 28th 2021. She was born in Brooklyn, NY and spent her youth there, graduating from Bay Ridge High School in Brooklyn. She graduated from NYU with an associate’s degree. After living near her family in Brooklyn, she and her husband moved to Florida in 1996 and enjoyed many years together until his death in 2000.

Barbara was employed by General Cigar, which later became Culbro LLC, as an Executive Assistant until her retirement.

She is predeceased by her parents Madeline and Daniel Bradshaw, her loving husband James Duffy, and her sisters Madeline and Anne. she also had three brothers Richard, Daniel, and Thomas. She is survived by a sister Marie, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and their children.

Barbara was an avid traveler and a parishioner of St. Mark The Evangelist church. She truly enjoyed spending time with family and friends, along with reading, attending the theater and ballet, watching her favorite TV shows, and listening to music.  Barbara was a blessing to many and was loved very much by anyone who knew her. She was extremely generous to all.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

A memorial service will be held at St. Mark The Evangelist church on Friday September 17th at 10:00am.
