Two people were injured in a golf cart rollover crash Thursday afternoon in The Villages.
The accident occurred at about 12:30 p.m. at the intersection of Belvedere Boulevard and Lynnhaven Lane in The Village of Bonnybrook. The golf cart was the only vehicle involved and it landed on its side, according to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.
Two people who had been traveling in the golf cart were transported as trauma patients to Ocala Regional Medical Center.Â
The Florida Highway Patrol has been called in to investigate the accident.
Sumter County EMS and The Villages Public Safety Department also responded to the scene of the crash.
