Mary Tutela

Mary Tutela

Mary K. (Huff) Tutela (76), of Lady Lake, FL. Beloved mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, great-aunt and friend.

Born and raised in Boston, she was a lifelong learner and self-starter. She received her bachelor’s degree in business from Cleveland State University and focused on Master’s Degree work at John Carroll University while raising three daughters. Subsequently, she worked with behaviorally challenged children at Bellfaire JCB and then started a business, which offered support to business owners in the Cleveland area.

Over the years, Mary embarked on many artistic endeavors. Flowers and nature scenes were the foremost inspiration for her drawings, greeting cards, photography, and watercolor paintings. She also crafted stunning jewelry, and maintained a small antique-focused shoppe in Leesburg, Florida. Mary took great pleasure in wandering the paths at the nearby Venetian Gardens, as a source of artistic inspiration, snapping photographs and sitting in the company of the birds around the water. She was a loving, unconditionally accepting, supportive, creative human being who worked joyfully and tirelessly to become more competent in her arts and hand-made crafts. Her entrepreneurial endeavors continually stimulated her mind.

The light of Mary’s life was raising her children, watching them grow, and having them with her until the very end. When she passed away, she felt confident that her children would forever be with her. As our mother, she never gave up. She trudged through the challenges life presented and came out on top at the end, so she could have what she wanted most – a loving family.

Mary was known as: “Mom” “Ma” “Mum” “Mumma” “Mommy” “Gram” “Grammy” “Fram”. She is survived in life by her children: Deborah Tutela, Gina Tutela, Sondra Tutela, Brian Murphy, Gina’s husband Michael Eident, and Brian’s wife Debbie; her grandchildren: JOSEPH, Tiffany, Gerald “Danny”, Alexis, Kaitlyn, Sarah, Brandon, Matthew “Max”, Brianna, and Cali; her great-grandchildren: Chanelle, Izabella, Davina, and Jazmyne; her siblings: Ann Huff, Donna (Huff) DiFranco and husband Joseph DiFranco; and her many nephews and nieces.

In eternity, Mary joins her lifetime friend, co-parent, and former husband, our beloved father, Alfred Tutela.

She also joins her parents Rita T. (Hickey) and Joseph F. Huff, and brother, Joseph A. Huff, who is survived by Jenna (Lucente) Huff.

There are no words to express how much she will be missed by her family and friends. At Mary’s request, no services will be held.
