Daughters of the American Revolution to learn about history of first ladies

Members of the John Bartram Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution are preparing to hear a presentation about first ladies.

Members of the John Bartram Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will learn about first ladies – ranging from Martha Washington to Michelle Obama – during an upcoming gathering at the Eisenhower Recreation Center.

The group is scheduled to meet Friday, Oct. 16 at the Eisenhower Recreation Centers. The doors will open at 9:30 a.m. and the meeting will get under way 30 minutes later.

The guest speaker will be Carolyn Kleinsmith, who will give a presentation on the first ladies of the White House, from Martha Washington to Michelle Obama. Members must make a reservation to attend the meeting by calling Brenda Thomason at (734) 788-7097. Face coverings will be required.
