Paul Doering

Paul Harold Doering, 74, of The Villages, FL went to be with the Lord Saturday, May 23, 2020.

Mr. Doering was born June 24, 1945 in Bristol, VA to Paul Minor and Miriam (Lloyd) Doering. He graduated from Bluff City High School and ETSU. Paul was a Vietnam Veteran serving our country as a Green Beret in the US Army. Paul retired from Glaxo Pharmaceuticals as a Sales Account Manager. He moved to The Villages in 2008 from SW Ranches, FL.

Paul loved sports, animals and people. He was a First-Degree Black Belt in Tok Won Do. He enjoyed Hang Gliding, basketball, water volleyball, was a pitcher in softball, and was a Pickleball instructor. Paul was a past president of the Bridgeport Men’s Club. Paul had attended the Village of Faith Church in Wildwood.

Survivors include his loving wife of almost 51 years, Dee-Anna; sons, David Lloyd Doering of Hudson, John Paul Doering of Montana and Daniel Dalton Doering of Tampa; granddaughters, Kayla and Jasmin both of Land of Lakes, FL. Paul was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Lloyd Douglas Doering.

A private interment will be in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a celebration of Paul’s life will be held in the future at the Village of Faith Church. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Cornerstone Hospice, Mariposa Hospice House, 601 Mariposa Way, The Villages, FL 32162 or Village of Faith Church, 8653 Co Rd 127, Wildwood, FL 34785.
