To the Editor:
I know no one likes to be told what to do, but right now wearing masks in stores is more than a matter of courtesy.
People such as myself are receiving cancer treatments and other immune compromising situations. The masks we wear protect others, not ourselves. When I have to go out to pick-up medicine or something I can’t get from Amazon, I’m at risk. I carry extra masks for people I encounter who don’t have one. I frequently am told that the masks are not legally required and it’s the persons Constitutional right to infect as many people as they choose. They don’t put it that bluntly but that’s the message. Now that the stores are opening up again, I suggest that the businesses set aside a time for unmasked people to shop when we who are compromised would know not to go.
