An enormous apartment complex touting its access to The Villages has revealed its pricing structure.
Lake Sumter Apartment Homes and Lake Sumter Senior Living are under construction at County Road 466 and Cherry Lake Road – in Sumter County. The complex will include 300 units. The project will offer sorely needed housing for a workforce in The Villages.
“Our apartment homes include diverse options such as carriage homes with no immediate neighbor, four-story buildings made accessible via elevators and more traditionally styled buildings offering your choice of first, second or third floor living. All conveniently located in Lady Lake, Florida with everything you could possibly need at your fingertips,” according to the company’s website.
The Town of Lady Lake will be running water lines to the apartments after The Villages refused to support the infrastructure. The Town of Lady Lake will be enjoying a considerable upcharge. However, the residents will not be residents of the town.
One bedroom units will run between $804 to $1,099 per month; two bedroom units will run between $956 and $1,169; three bedroom units will cost $1,097 to $1,369 per month; and four bedroom apartments will cost between $1,210 and $1,544.
The Lake Sumter Apartment Homes are “non age restricted with income limitations.”
Lake Sumter Living will be “age restricted where one person in the household is 62+. Income limitations.”
And a third entity under construction, Lake Sumter Reserve, will have, “No age or income limitations.”
When the apartment complex was originally proposed to the Sumter County Commission, residents of the Village of Haciendas of Mission Hills objected.
A temporary leasing office for the Lake Sumter Apartment Homes and the Lake Sumter Apartment Homes has been set up at the nearby Rolling Acres Apartments, which accepts Section 8 vouchers for many of its units.
