Jeanette Major, 87, is survived by her children: Dennis Major, Summerfield, Fla.; Betty Jo Ann Major, Lady lake, Fla.; Larry Brandow, Lady Lake, Fla. She was blessed with 1 grandchild Kevin Major that preceded her death

Surviving Sibling Ross Longo. Sibling preceded her in death Albert Longo. Several nieces, nephews, cousins and great nieces/nephews. Preceded in death by husband Carl Major married 65 yrs

A Village resident for 30 years, she was active in several Village activities; Pellet air rifle and pistol sharpshooter champion, Florida State Clogging champion, member of Sheldon’s Village Stompers, Red Hat Queen, Billiard Champion, ladies golfing, Garden Club, Bunco, line dancing and pool bingo. The one event she was most proud of was being chosen Ms. Senior Florida.

She was also in the first Villages promotional video with Brad Craig. Mom and dad were extras in the Rosewood movie.

She loved to tell funny stories, loved a good joke, enjoyed cooking, entertaining family and friends. She was a great mother, devoted wife, with a kind and loving heart. A member of Chapel of Christian Faith. She loved Jesus, the power of prayer, the word of the Lord and eternal life.

Celebration of life will be held at Chapel of Christian Faith at a later date, TBA

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Chapel of Christian Faith or your favorite charity.
