Restaurant at Lake Sumter Landing gives up on take-out business

A restaurant at Lake Sumter Landing has given up on its fledgling take-out service in the survival of the fittest fight in the era of the Coronavirus.

RJ Gators was one of the many restaurants trying to hang on by nurturing a take-out business.

A sign posted at RJ Gators informs would-be patrons that take-out service has ceased.

After Gov. Ron DeSantis last month ordered the closure of restaurant dining areas, RJ Gators attempted to adjust by offering to-go order Mondays through Saturdays. The popular restaurant also offered liquor to go.

A note posted on the entrance to the patio bar now informs would-be patrons that its take out service has ceased.
