Lady Lake man jailed after showing up at estranged girlfriend’s apartment

A Lady Lake man landed behind bars after showing up at his estranged girlfriend’s apartment.

Robert Lee Gilliam, 38, was attempting to leave The Quarters apartments through a sliding glass door at about 5:30 p.m. Oct. 12 when law enforcement arrived on the scene, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department. The woman has a no contact order in place against Gilliam.

He was taken into custody and booked without bond at the Lake County Jail.

Gilliam had been arrested Aug. 30 during an altercation with the woman at the apartment they had shared. He had been going through her phone prior to the start of the altercation, according to an arrest report.
