Villages restaurant employee reports being punched by former co-worker

A Villages restaurant employee reported being punched by a former co-worker.

The 48-year-old who lives in The Villages was on duty at about 10 p.m. Oct. 11 at Gator’s Dockside at Spanish Springs Town Square when the former co-worker came into the restaurant and confronted him, according to an incident report from the Lady Lake Police Department. The former co-worker claimed the other man owed him money and then punched him in the chest. The former Gator’s Dockside employee fled before police arrived.

A manager at the restaurant provided the name of the former restaurant employee to police. However, the employee who was punched declined to pursue the matter with law enforcement.
