In what was a first in The Villages, President Donald Trump arrived Thursday afternoon on Marine One ahead of his event at Spanish Springs Town Square.
The president arrived on Air Force One at Ocala International Airport and was then ferried to The Villages Polo Fields aboard the presidential helicopter.
He then was transported by motorcade to The Sharon L. Morse Performing Arts Center.
A crowd gathered at the polo fields, to watch the president both arrive and depart from The Villages.
The Saddlebrook Softball Complex was closed Thursday due to the president’s use of Marine One at the polo fields.
