Theresa “Terry” (Garofalo) Clemens born February 8, 1939 passed away peacefully on August 15, 2019 surrounded by her loving husband of 59 years and her three children.
Terry was a beautiful woman, 80 – years young, born in Brooklyn, NY. She was a devoted Roman Catholic with a strong faith and always shared her spirituality and love of God with others.
Terry loved to travel, laugh and enjoyed the company of family and friends. She was creative and talented and found great joy in singing, playing the piano, painting, drawing, knitting and designing a variety of beautiful and unique crafts.
Terry met her husband in 1956 while working for Western Electric. After living in NY, MA, NH, FL and NJ, Terry moved to The Villages, Florida in 1997 following her retirement from CNA Insurance.
Terry is predeceased by her parents Edith and Joseph Garofalo and her sister Linda Humphrey. She is survived by her devoted husband Hank, her children; Terry-Ann and Herb Zander of Newton, NJ and their sons Cutter and Hunter; John Clemens of Wood River, IL and his daughters Ella and Gianna, and Laura and Brian Robinson of Las Vegas, NV. Terry was the oldest of five children and is survived by her siblings; Joseph Garofalo and wife Pam; sister Joanne DeStefano and husband Ernie and brother Robert Garofalo and wife Cynthia. She also leaves behind cousins, many nieces and nephews, and dear friends she called family.
Her final resting place will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover, NJ with a memorial service to be held at a future date.
