Kristen Rogers

A homeless woman was nabbed in the Hacienda Villas with a Villager’s stolen car with Indiana plates.

The 2006 Pontiac G6 had been reported stolen July 9 from a home on Dominguez Drive in Villa De La Mesa.

The vehicle’s On-Star system was tracked at 5:22 p.m. Friday to 911 Mendoza Blvd. in the Hacienda Villas.

An officer spotted 34-year-old Kristen Rogers move from the rear of the residence to the car. She had the keys in her hand, unlocked the door and got into the vehicle.

She was arrested on a charge of grand theft of a motor vehicle and booked at the Lake County Jail. She was released after posting $2,000 bond.

Rogers had been arrested earlier this year on drug charges.
