The former superintendent of golf courses at the Rosen Hotels and Resorts in Orlando has been named the director of Executive Golf Maintenance in The Villages.
Mitch Leininger took on his new duties this week in Florida’s Friendliest Hometown.
He spent the first 12 years of his career in the airline industry with a focus on managing logistics and customer service in a time-sensitive arena for Delta Air Lines. He later transitioned to the golf course maintenance industry where he was able to utilize the same skills he developed working for “high-end golf courses with a focus on attention to detail through an unyielding work ethic,” according to an announcement from the District Office.
Leininger was born and raised in Orlando. He and his wife, Rebecca, have a son Luke, who is 7. He attended Penn State University and Seminole State College. Leininger enjoys spending time with his family traveling, going to the theme parks and experiencing new cuisine.
Leininger succeeds Eric Van Gorder.
