Joe Yablonsky

Joe Yablonsky, age 90, passed at the Villages Cornerstone Hospice on Tuesday, May 21, 2019.

Joe was born in Newark, New Jersey on December 29, 1928. He graduated from South Side High School in 1946. After graduation he joined the US Army and served in Korea.  He graduated from Rutgers University in 1952 and then began his 32 year career with the FBI. Joe retired as Special Agent in Charge of the Las Vegas, NV office in December 1983. Ten years later, he retired from Joe Yablonsky Investigations and as Director of Security for the John Morrell Meat Company.

Joe and his wife, Wilma, moved to The Villages in 1997. He was very active in Temple Shalom.  Joe is survived by his wife, Wilma; three daughters, Rachel Yablonsky, Sarah Petcavage, and Susan Albert (Scott). The family thanks his wonderful caregivers, Kathy Graham and Altha Francis.

A funeral service will be held at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 1511 Buenos Aires Blvd, The Villages, FL on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at 11am. The family will receive friends from 10am until time of service at 11am. Burial with military honors will take place at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
