The Villages Outpatient Surgery Center

To the Editor:

It’s no wonder speciality physicians are avoiding the service.
I had minor hand surgery on my hand. I’ve had pacemaker replacement that involved less personnel.
The resulting bill involved five figures!
Of course my insurance didn’t pay all that, but if I had no insurance, I would have been expected to pay it all.
Which brings up another subject. Why is an uninsured patient expected to may more than insurance would cover?
