Suspected thief with stolen boxers falls face first during chase by law enforcement

A suspected thief with stolen boxers was injured after he fell face first during a chase by law enforcement.

Charles Zeboriah Moon, 28, of Eustis, was spotted with the stolen merchandise Tuesday afternoon by a loss prevention officer at Target at Rolling Acres Plaza, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department.

Moon was first chased in the store and then after he ran outside and headed for Rolling Acres Road. He ignored police officers’ commands to stop and he was tasered. He fell face first to the ground, injuring his face. He had two packages of underwear stuffed in his pants. The underwear was valued at $25.98.

Emily Diane Sanders

Moon’s female companion, 24-year-old Emily Diane Sanders, of Tavares, also was arrested with stolen merchandise. She also was connected to a March 13 theft at the store.

Moon, who has a lengthy criminal history, was booked at the Lake County Jail and released on $17,000 bond.

Sanders was booked at the jail and released after posting $9,500 bond.
