Bruce Raymond Wetzel

Bruce Raymond Wetzel, age 77, born April 9, 1941 in Baldwin, Long Island, New York, passed away on Sunday, January 6, 2019 in The Villages, Florida after 11 years of residence.

Mr. Wetzel graduated from The Academy of Aeronautics, Hofstra University and attended Syracuse University, Cornell and The University of New Hampshire.

Over the years, the family spent many moments together vacationing together with the grandchildren and taking cruises to celebrate birthdays and other events. He enjoyed many entertainment events, and neighborhood Social events.

Bruce enjoyed travel as a result of his business management career and Joanie was able to accompany him on many trips. Bruce missed his working life in which he served at various management levels including CEO, President and Vice President of High technology Manufacturing Companies in various Domestic and International Markets. This gave them the opportunity to move to different states and make new friends from all over.

In retirement, Joanie and Bruce Traveled domestically and internationally. One of Bruce’s enjoyments was playing golf with a few groups of great guys and couples.

Bruce is survived by his Loving wife Joanie of 52 years, his Son Gregory Raymond Wetzel and spouse Kate from MN, and Daughter Janet Lynn Wetzel-Greger, NH; grandchildren include Gregory, Chris, Taylor, Zachary and Mackenzie.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, March 15, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at Community United Methodist Church, Fruitland Park, Florida.
