Long lines at post office in final push to send gifts before Thursday deadline

The Lady Lake Post Office is generally a busy post office. This holiday season, that is an understatement.

If you are planning on sending out a package this holiday season, you better get down to the Post Office soon: Thursday, Dec. 20 is the deadline to ensure a Christmas delivery for first-class shipping services.

According to the United States Postal Service, post offices around the country will deliver over 3 billion pieces of mail, including 400 million packages, in the two weeks leading up to Christmas.
