A Pear Harbor Day ceremony will be held Friday, Dec. 7 at Veterans Memorial Park of The Villages.
The event begins at 10 a.m. and will commemorate the 77th anniversary of the attack on U.S. forces at the base in Hawaii. All veterans and their families, as well as the general public, are invited to attend. Benjamin Mack Jackson will be the keynote speaker, Tony Battalia will sing and the Sounds of Scotland will perform.
The Veterans Memorial Park is located on Lake Mira Mar in Spanish Springs, between Paige Place and the golf cart bridge over U.S. Hwy. 27/441. Those attending are encouraged to bring chairs. The CERT medical team will be in place for any emergencies.
