Bad language dulls laughs in ‘The Spy Who Dumped Me’

Morgan (Kate McKinnon) and Audrey (Mila Kunis) are pals who run around the world seeking adventure.

Audrey’s boyfriend, unbeknownst to her, is a spy played by Justin Theroux. In order to shield Audrey from getting involved in his dangerous mission of espionage, he dumps her.

Right now McKinnon has leaped from SNL to being the hottest item in comedy.

The plot, however, bathes in stupidity as the two muddle around the globe. Sight gags like a computer thumb drive shaped like a human thumb and a second drive which gets hidden within Audrey’s cavity private parts is too much.

“Spy Who Dumped Me” is funny, but I cannot recommend a film where the script writers use the f-word more than 40 times.  Shame on you guys!  This show gets a D rating.

It is currently running at The Barnstorm Theater in The Villages.
