A woman was transported to The Villages Regional Hospital after a motorcycle accident Friday afternoon near Pinellas Plaza.
Cynthia Maureen O’Neil, 53, of Leesburg, left 36 feet of skidmark in the mishap that occurred shortly before 5 p.m. on the access road behind Pinellas Plaza, according to an accident report from the Wildwood Police Department. She was attempting to turn onto the roadway when her 2004 Yamaha V Star hit the curb, causing O’Neil to fall to the pavement.
She told a police officer her brakes had failed.
She suffered pelvic bruising and was taken to the hospital for observation.
