A Wildwood man was arrested on felony child cruelty charges after he allegedly rammed his wife’s car with their two children riding in the car with him.

Christopher Andrew Coleman, 39, drove to a home in the 500 block of Jackson Street at about 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday where his wife had been visiting with a friend, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department.

Coleman began to argue with his wife over the fact that she was not at home.

He got into his vehicle and rammed the couple’s Toyota Corolla, which his wife had been driving. The couple’s two children, ages 6 and 11, had been riding in the car with Coleman at the time, the arrest report indicated.

Wildwood police responded to the residence after a 911 hangup call.

Coleman was arrested at the couple’s home at the Peppertree Apartments.

He was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center and released after posting $5,000 bond.
