Credit card skimmers were reportedly found Monday afternoon in gas pumps at the Circle K in Ocala.
Marion County sheriff’s deputies responded to the Circle K located at 5160 South Pine Ave. in reference to credit card skimmers found inside gas pumps, according to an incident report. An agricultural and consumer protection specialist for the Division of Consumer Services reported the discovery as he was completing inspections on the gas pumps and located a skimmer, as well as another possible skimmer. Deputies took digital images of both items prior to being removed by the inspector. Employees at Circle K were present during the investigation. A deputy took possession of the two electronic items for evidence.
Last week, a skimmer was found at an ATM at a bank in Summerfield.
