James H. ‘Jim’ McGee

James H. “Jim“ McGee, age 77, of Leesburg, FL, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2017. He was a native of Spartanburg, SC and the youngest son of the late Edwin Hill Sr. and Frances Iree McGee. Jim retired in 1995 from the U.S. Government as an Information Technology Professional. He was a Mason, a member of the NRA, and of the Presbyterian Faith.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Bettie, and two daughters; Terri and her husband Bob Sheskin of Prince Frederick, MD and Sharon and her husband Tom Roston of Huntingtown, MD; six grandchildren, Sandi, Paul, Ryan, Samantha, Tommy Jr. and Joe; six great grandchildren Donovan, Emily, Gracee, Chase, Connor and Shelby. He is also survived by a sister Jean and her husband Martin Schnider of McLean, VA. Jim was preceded in death by his brother Edwin H McGee Jr. and sister Katherine Weitershausen.
Memorial services will be held Monday, January 30, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Page-Theus Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 914 West Main Street, Leesburg, FL 34748. The Rev. Gary Blanchard to officiate. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made to: Cornerstone Hospice Foundation, “Mike Conley Hospice House”, 2445 Lane Park Road, Tavares, FL 32778.
