Carolyn Ruth Malloy

Carolyn Ruth Malloy, 80, of Summerfield, FL, passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2016. Carolyn was born on November 4, 1935 in Oskaloosa, Iowa. She was a member of First Baptist Church at The Villages. Family was the most important part of her life and she shared her smile and laughter with everyone she met.

Survivors include her husband of 32 years Jerry G. Malloy; daughters Julie Buckner, Jill Descaro (John) and Jamie Tschantz (Doug); son Jeffrey Hicklin (April); step-daughters Paula Hermens (Dave). Tracy Malloy (Nori Bokum), Meagan Church (Jon) and Lisa Nardini; sisters Carmen McLarty and Colleen Manderscheid; 19 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, many special nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her great-grandson Jackson Hermens; father Harold Chambers and mother Leona Bass Smith.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 15, 2016, located at First Baptist Church at The Villages, 7570 SE Hwy. 42, Summerfield, FL 34491. Interment will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to First Baptist Church at The Villages/The Building Fund, 16985 SE 79th Clearview Avenue, The Villages, FL 32162.
