Lori Leeann Lambert, 20, and her boyfriend, 26-year-old Christopher Hermann Valsechi of Weirsdale, arrived Sunday night at Kiku’s Japanese Steakhouse where her daughter and family members were having dinner, according to an arrest report from the Eustis Police Department.

Several law enforcement officers were called to the restaurant after receiving reports that an argument broke out over child custody issues and was rapidly escalating. There had also been a report of a possible weapon involved.

Lambert had previously been told by family members she was not welcome at the dinner because family members did not approve of her boyfriend. Lambert went into the restaurant to remove her daughter from the gathering while her boyfriend waited outside in his truck. However, when he saw the argument escalating, Valsechi went into the restaurant armed with a pink taser.  When the father of Lambert’s child arrived, the taser discharged and shocked his wrist. Valsechi claimed the taser had discharged accidentally.

Lambert and Valsechi were arrested on charges of battery and booked at the Lake County Jail.
