Man arrested on felony charges after allegedly ripping off his employer

A 47-year-old man was arrested after admitting to stealing from his employer.

Mark Anthony Blakely of Inverness is facing felony charges of burglary and grand theft following his arrest Wednesday by Wildwood police.

Blakely admitted to taking $800 worth of scrap aluminum coils from a truck owned by his employer, Desantis Appliance & AC Service. He later sold the aluminum coils at Inter-County Recycling in Lecanto.

He was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center on $7,000 bond.
