A 35-year-old Village of Osceola Hills man was arrested after his girlfriend’s bite mark on his wrist linked him to an earlier alleged attack.

William Bradley Bennett is free on $5,000 bond following his arrest early Tuesday morning on a charge of battery.

The girlfriend told a Sumter County sheriff’s deputy that Monday night Bennett had grabbed her, pulled her hair and pinned her to the ground. While he had her pinned to the ground, the 300-pound Bennett began to choke her, the arrest report indicated. She said she was able to bite his arm to get him to let go. She had bruises on her biceps and knees and redness on her neck, the report indicated.

Bennett was arrested at 2:20 a.m. Tuesday at his home in the Belle Glade Villas after the deputy spotted the bite mark on Bennett’s wrist.

He was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center.
