Joshua Alan Rixie of Fruitland Park, who graduated in 2007 from the Villages High School, entered the pleas this past week in Sumter County Court in the 2014 incident. Rixie was ordered to serve 10 days in the Sumter County Detention Center and placed on one year’s probation.

On Dec. 2, 2015 in Lake County Court, Rixie had pleaded no contest to a charge of driving while license suspended/revoked for DUI. He had been arrested on that charge on Aug. 11, 2015 by Leesburg police. He was sentenced to 29 days in jail in that case.

While a student at the Villages High School, Rixie played wide received and defensive back for the Buffalo football team.
