The holiday goal had been to attract 1,000 visitors. The group that works to preserve the history of the Baker House indicated they fell 50 short of that goal. Hence they are hoping to meet it by opening the Baker House an additional day.

The Baker House is located at 6106 County Road 44A in Wildwood.

The house was once home to Senator David Hume Baker (1841-1917) served in the Civil War as a first lieutenant in the 12th Kentucky Calvary (Union). After the war he moved to Florida and served in the Florida Senate. He is buried at Arlington National Cemetery.
